if MS had built a solid machine and there was no RROD or E74. How many consoles they would actually have sold?? Im 100% positive they've lost a lot of 1st time buyers due to this problem.
At the end of the day, this is not your typical game. It's not a shooter, it's not action adventure shooter, it's not a driving game/simulator.
the game will be critically acclaimed and will score reviews like Uncharted 2, but in the end it wont sell as much. And because of the lack of 2 million units in a week, the MS fanboys will call it a failure.
Me I cannot wait for this game, to have something totally unique to play for once!!!
So exactly how has ND moved on? I cannot say because I have yet to play the game. So what have they innovated? I'm just curious?

I was always one of those who believed PSN is an excellent service for being free, and didn't deem it necessary to go on Live.
But after getting on XBL gold recently two weeks ago, I don't regret it.
The one stand-out feature I LOVE about XBL is inside Xbox. Instant streaming of updates from TGS, developers, short interview clips, etc. There's always something to watch.
And when I started browsing...

@ Chase, I guess what I was trying to say is that it's "SHARING" not "SHEARING". I also have two kids, but I don't allow them to play online with either the PS3 or the XBOX.
is that N4G does not refelct the world. What happens on N4G fortunatly stays on N4G.
Let's just say that there are 20 million xbox owners out there, and 2000 active N4G posters that are dead set against anything related to MS. Those PS3 fanboys convert 200 XBOX fanboys to the other side, well that only means that 0.01% of possible purchasers of a MS game like Forza will not be buying this game. Add to that any other blog, web site, wannabe journalist and I doubt that figure will rise ...

I think it's really in the ethnicity of the developers. American's can be brash and over confident, where as Japanese are humble and quiet. (PS. not bashing Americans here)

Neither weather nor day/night time was a feature when they announced GT5 at TGS 2009. So I guess by your own wording, GT5 is not going to be a definite race either??

"20 course locations with 70 layouts" so there's 20 tracks, and of those 20 tracks there are 70 layouts, meaning there are 70 race course in GT5. Not that each course has 70 layouts.

And as a side note, Forza3's 100 tracks include several different layouts also, so Forza3 does not have 100 unique tracks.

I am not 100% sure. My wife has a last.fm subscription on her computer. On the other hand we cannot get Pandora on our computers here in Canada. And Pandora is a similar program to last.fm
So I would like to think so, but as you know the CRTC will probably screw it up for us (not enough guaranteed Canadian content).
I can also browse the web on my PS3, but why?? Computer is just so much better. At least I don't have to squint to read the fonts.
@ cyclinkd - I agree totally, maybe it is the preference for the way it handles. And then it becomes a personal thing. This doesnt mean in any way that I am not going to get GT5 when it comes out. Cause I am a car racing enthusiast.

I know I'll loose a bubble or two here. But, as much as I agree with the fan boys here that GT5P looks better then the Forza3 demo( and probably the full release game too ), Forza3 still feels and controls way better then GT5P does. But since I have not played the full GT5 game as some people on N4G seem to have already, I won't comment on the final product.
Agreed, I don't know what the paint shop is like in F3. But I remember some of the amazing vehicles they did about a year into F2. Im sure the good ones will come in time.
Me I've never had the patience to decal my car, beyond the standard decals that are already there.
